Walk and Talk

Sunlight through the trees

There are many reasons why you may choose to have your sessions outdoors. Perhaps you sit in an office all day and this is your only opportunity for exercise. Maybe you feel anxious or nervous in small spaces. Or perhaps you feel an outdoor environment would support you more with your therapy. There are some beautiful places to walk with benches in certain spots for when you would like to take some time to pause and reflect. Physically and therapeutically, I will always go at your pace.

There is a sense of freedom and a flow of energy when we are in the outdoors. Being surrounded by nature can help us to feel grounded, rooted, and connected to something greater than ourselves. It offers perspective when we have become stuck in our own patterns of thought.

Connecting with the environment helps us to make deeper connections within ourselves, encouraging a feeling of renewal and calm. It encourages a sense of direction when we are unsure of where we are going in life. â€‹

Walking can be seen as a metaphor for moving forwards in life, as moving forwards physically can propel us forwards mentally. When we move, our energy shifts and transforms, and as we shift gear, we are ready for the next manoeuvre. â€‹

Walk and talk can be arranged after an initial consultation or first full session, as I will first need to run through some paperwork and establish any mobility or medical needs should you decide to go ahead with therapy.
