The 7-Week CBT-I Programme for Insomnia
Specialist, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia
Delivered via Private, 1-to-1 Consultation
Launching November 2026
Are you lying awake for hours, dreading bedtime, or waking up feeling completely unrefreshed? Chronic sleep disruption can bleed into every part of your day, leaving you struggling with fatigue, irritability, and a constant cloud of daytime exhaustion.
As an NCPS-registered counsellor scheduled to complete specialist training with the University of Oxford, I will be offering a dedicated clinical sleep programme from November 2026.
This programme is designed to target the root psychological and behavioural causes of insomnia to permanently rebuild your natural sleep drive. It consists of an initial clinical assessment and 6 structured, targeted CBT-I sessions, which are most effective when attended weekly; this allows you time to practice the techniques in your daily life between our meetings. Sessions are available both online and in-person.
What to Expect from the Sessions
This programme moves away from generic "sleep hygiene" tips and provides a tailored clinical roadmap to help you:
-
Reset Your Sleep Drive: Re-train your brain to associate your bed with deep, consolidated sleep rather than frustration and wakefulness.
-
Quiet Night-time Anxiety: Learn evidence-based cognitive techniques to turn off the racing thoughts and bedtime dread that keep you awake.
-
Optimise Your Sleep Window: Use personalised sleep scheduling to eliminate long stretches of tossing and turning.
-
Secure Long-Term Sleep: Build a robust, lifelong toolkit to prevent occasional bad nights from turning back into chronic insomnia.

An Evidence-Based Path to Natural Sleep
While sleep medications can offer a short-term fix, they often come with side effects and dependency risks. This programme offers a clinically proven alternative for anyone who is:
-
Struggling with long-term primary insomnia.
-
Looking to safely break a cycle of relying on over-the-counter or prescription sleep aids.
-
Experiencing sleep disruption due to high stress, anxiety, or major life transitions.
-
Navigating hormonal sleep changes during perimenopause and menopause.
-
Preferring a psychological, evidence-based approach to sleep management.
Based on advanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) protocols, these sessions focus on the brain-body connection to permanently restore healthy sleep patterns.
