The 6-Week CBT Programme for Perimenopause & Menopause

Plus a dedicated 50-minute clinical assessment to map your symptoms

Specialist, Evidence-Based Management of Vasomotor Symptoms (Hot Flushes & Night Sweats) | Launching November 2026

Are you struggling with sudden anxiety, "brain fog", or disrupted sleep? Many women feel they are losing their sense of self during the perimenopause and menopause transition, yet aren't sure where to turn for specialised, evidence-based support that offers practical, measurable relief.

As an NCPS-registered counsellor scheduled to complete specialist training with the British Menopause Society (BMS), I will be offering a dedicated clinical programme from November 2026.

This programme is designed to dial down the physical and emotional intensity of perimenopause and menopause. It consists of an initial clinical assessment and 6 structured, targeted CBT sessions, which are most effective when attended weekly; this allows you time to practice the techniques in your daily life between our meetings. Sessions are available both online and in-person.

.

What to Expect from the Sessions:

Instead of just "talking about" symptoms, this programme provides a clinical roadmap to help you:

  • Regulate the Body’s Response: Learn to manage the internal "thermostat" and reduce the impact of vasomotor symptoms.

  • Break the Symptom Cycle: Identify and shift the specific thought patterns that can make physical symptoms feel more overwhelming.

  • Restore Sleep & Energy: Targeted psychological strategies to address night-time disruption and daytime fatigue.

  • Build a Long-Term Toolkit: Gain a set of self-management skills proven in clinical trials to reduce the impact by up to 50%.

A Specialist, Non-Hormonal Path to Relief

While Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a common choice, it isn't the only way to find relief.

Whether you are:

  • Navigating medical restrictions (such as a history of breast cancer or blood clots)

  • Managing side effects from existing medications, or

  • Simply prefer a psychological, evidence-based approach to symptom management.

This programme offers a clinically proven alternative. Based on the British Menopause Society (BMS) training, these sessions focus on the brain-body connection to reduce the impact of hot flushes and night sweats by up to 50%.

Note: This programme can be taken as a standalone non-hormonal treatment or alongside HRT to manage persistent emotional symptoms like anxiety and "brain fog."
