Creativity Sessions

There may be situations where you benefit from working creatively, particularly when recalling painful events. Some clients have found it helpful to incorporate art into their sessions as a way of exploring and expressing their emotions. Creative interventions can offer other means of self-discovery and insight, and provide another level of depth when verbalising your thoughts or feelings is a struggle. This approach is particularly helpful for those with anxiety, autistic spectrum disorder, depression, dyslexia, low-self esteem, PTSD, trauma, and those living with illnesses such as cancer or chronic pain. It can also help to reduce the sometimes overwhelming feeling of loneliness and isolation.
For Face-to-Face sessions (and Walk and Talk), you are welcome to bring your own materials, but I will have some supplies which you will be very welcome to use. This can also work well with Online sessions, but obviously you will need to have your own supplies.

Integrating art can help reduce stress, promote self-expression, aid the development of healthy coping mechanisms, assist clients in working through their trauma, and support the expression of complex emotions.
