Automated email notifications sent to my Gmail account (Google)

5. How Your Information Is Stored

Your data is stored securely on Wix’s servers, which are protected by industry-standard security measures and firewalls
Enquiry notifications are delivered to a secure Gmail inbox, accessible only by me
I do not store your data in any other external systems unless you become a client (in which case additional consent and data protection measures apply)

6. Why I Collect This Data

Your information is collected solely to:

Respond to your enquiry
Provide information about counselling services
Arrange appointments, if requested

8. How Long I Keep Your Data

If you do not become a client, your enquiry and data will be deleted after 6 months.
If you begin therapy, you will be provided with a separate client agreement outlining how personal information is handled. If you proceed with therapy, your clinical records and session notes will be retained securely for 7 years following our final session, as required by my professional indemnity insurance, after which they will be securely destroyed

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access a copy of your data, request corrections, or ask for deletion.

Data Protection Complaints: If you have any concerns or a complaint about how I handle your personal data or session notes, please contact me directly at mfreedman.therapy@gmail.com. In accordance with UK regulations, I will formally acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and work to resolve the matter directly with you. If you remain dissatisfied with my final response, you then hold the right to escalate your complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. Third Parties

Your data will not be shared with any third parties for marketing or commercial use. The only third parties involved are:

Wix (website host and form provider)
Google/Gmail (email delivery system)

Both providers are GDPR-compliant and store data securely.
